Information
Mitchell’s brewery was started in 1983 in Knysna by Lex Mitchell.
Started off brewing only Forester’s and Bosuns for Knysna only.
The product was so popular that they had to move to much bigger premises to keep up with demand.
Lex then opened the Cape Town branch of Mitchell’s brewery in 1989 to be able to offer our fine Draught’s to the Cape Town market.
The popularity of the beers saw other lines being added to our repertoire, and so the business grew.
On offer are 1 hour tour experiences from 10.30am to 3pm.
