Beluga Restaurant first opened its doors in 1999 to immediate public acclaim, attracting fine diners like Bill Clinton, Samuel L Jackson, Kevin Spacey and Tiger Woods and a winning a spot in the Top 60 New Restaurants in the World, as voted by Conde Nast Traveler Magazine.
Today, Beluga is once again striving for perfection. When restauranteur Oscar Kotze took over in August 2006, he immediately began what he called the "reinvention" of Beluga, which has since become one of Cape Town's most talked about restaurants.
