Old Mutual Encounters Summer Concerts at Johannesburg Botanical Gardens, Emmarentia Dam, are a splendid way to spend a late Saturday afternoon in Gauteng.

The Old Mutual Encounters Concert series is about experiencing something of the world of others. About meeting in a new place that is neither mine nor yours – but ours.

At each Encounters Concert two or more artists from markedly different genres collaborate to create unique music performances. The open-air concerts cater for all music tastes, from jazz, folk, Afro-pop, to Hip Hop, rock, blues and choral encounters, and are a delightful way to absorb the beautiful surroundings and unwind.

Held amongst an array of indigenous and exotic plants, the Encounters Concerts will take place once a month from January to December between 12h00 and 18h00, offering you a unique experience.

So grab your picnic basket, kids, friends or loved ones and join us at the ever-green Johannesburg Botanical Gardens, Emmarentia Dam.

The concerts are very popular so we suggest you get there early to pick the best spot.
