Our stay in June was off course mid winter therefore some allowance has to be made for the rooms initialy feeling damp and being cold, especially situated in a valley on the back of Table Mountain next to a river - Only a small wall heater was available to heat a large 1 1/2 room split level cottage. On the plus side the owners / hosts were very helpful, there was always plenty of hot water and I'm sure in the summer Waterland Lodge would be fine for a low budget stay. The location needs a car but the whole Cape Peninsular is so spectacular that having to drive everywhere ia a pleasure not a chore

Waterland Lodge is a haven of tranquility and a place to unwind and relax; yet so close to important places of interest such as Fisherman's wharf, Kirstenbosch, Constantia, Newlands and the City. Fantastic staff.
