Tsakane Safari Camp is situated in the Balule Private Nature Reserve and Greater Kruger National Park – Home to Africa’s Big Five – Lion, Leopard, Rhino, Elephant and Buffalo. The camp has been carefully designed to integrate with the natural environment and is unfenced thereby enhancing the wilderness ambiance.

Establishment Details
Accommodation facilities are comfortable and vary from en-suite chalets to luxury en-suite safari tents and stilted huts.
Recreational amenities include a remote lounge, traditional dinner Boma and viewing deck, splash pool, Jacuzzi and cosy bar.
Safari activities include game drives in open game viewing vehicles and last between two and four hours. Guided bush walks are conducted by our resident trail rangers who together boast some fifty years guiding experience. Tsakane always provides a special experience and your visit may include a dinner for two under a remote tree, a bush braai or sleep out under the stars.
Tsakane conducts day excursions in a luxury air-conditioned minibus to a variety of local places of interest including the Kruger National Park, along the old pioneering routes of Pilgrims Rest and to Magoebaskloof or to the Blyde River Canyon for a picnic.
Overland Safari’s are provided for the more adventurous traveller. A five day excursion through the length of the remote and wild Limpopo Transfrontier Park and an Eleven day Bush to Beach safari that includes ‘off-the-beaten-track’ bush and beach destinations.
Tsakane Wilderness Trail Camp comprises four dome safari tents, complete with comfortable camp furnishings, an outdoor shower, flush toilet and central lapa and fire place. The camp specialises in providing a unique wilderness experience. Our two Trail Rangers, with some 40 years combined experience, will not only share there knowledge with you, but encourage you to fully participate during the trail.
Activities include guided day trails, sleep-outs under the African stars, game drives and specialist photographic and birding excursions.

Between Hoedspruit and Phalaborwa. From Tzaneen take the R 71 towards Gravelotte, then take the R 526 to Mica. At intersession turn left, 500m turn right into Rio Dos Elephant and Balule Game Reserve. Follow the sign posts marked for Tsakane Safari Camp.
