Establishment Details - The Grange Guest House
Summary:
The Grange Guest House is situated in upper Durban North halfway between Durban CBD and Umhlanga.
Theme: Our gracious 1950's mansion house has just undergone massive renovations, you can now expect dark wooden floors, high white ceilings, a mix of funky modern and traditiona furniture. All bathrooms are state of the aft with top quality porcelain tiles, gebrit toilets and italian san ware. Most have HUGE showers.
A full English Breakfast is served on the terrace overlooking the garden, pool, with sea views.
We also have a 1st floor roof garden form which to enjoy sundowners and the city lights.
Property Description:
Built in the early 50's, this Bed and Breakfast is a mansion which has 4 en-suite bedrooms incl a two bedroom suite. We also love our coffee at the Grange and can offer you plunger coffee all day and night with espresso, Latte and cappuchino in the mornings. (of course we have a large selection of teas and hot chocolate too!)
The bathrooms are all super modern with clean, functional italian designed san ware.
We are also eco friendly!
Directions to The Grange Guest House
From King Shaka Airport take the N2 southbound. exit at Kwa Mashu offramp and turn left into Chris Hani Road (formerly North Coast road), follow for approx 3kms then turn left into Blackburn Road (at the bottom of the crest of the hill - it comes up quickly) follow this road past Umhlanga Rocks Drive which will become Kenneth Kaunda (formerly Northway). just after the next set of robots turn right into Norfolk place (sign says to monteith) and you will see us at the crossroads on your left hand corner in front of you. go straight up to the first driveway on your left and buzz the top button for the main house.

| Both on the 1st floor with sea views. One room is very large at 35m2, full bathroom, elegant, spacious room which has room for a single bed as well if necessary.
The other deluxe room is our roof garden room which has private access to the 40m2 roof garden with astroturf, a seating area and views to the city and sea! |

| Thie huge (40m2) room has a private terrace overlooking the garden accessed via french doors. The bathroom is a 'wet' room with roll in shower and a separate bath ('normal' bath). This room can be changed according to need i.e. you can have a large seating area or we can place an extra bed (double or single).
The room has a 32 inch wall mounted tv, dstv, clock radio, large bar fridge, tea coffee tray with plunger coffee and private seating area on the terrace. |
