Summary:

The house has its own swimming pool, a cosy sunroom and a sundeck for sun worshippers, as well as an extremely comfortable lounge with a small library of novels and factual books. Tea and coffee are always on the boil, and there is a well stocked bar cabinet.

Bloubergstrand is on the outskirts of Cape Town, and a car journey into the centre of the city takes only 20 minutes. Bloubergstrand also offers easy access to the Waterfront, the Stellenbosch wine route, Table Mountain and all Cape beaches.

Theme:

The keyword throughout is unparalleled luxury in a B&B - from the large orthopaedic mattresses to the monogrammed linen, to the fresh flowers and complimentary fruit juices that are placed daily in the rooms.

The service is comparable to the best hotels, and with it comes homely attention to all your private needs.

Breakfasts are freshly made from the finest ingredients - free range farm eggs, jersey milk, succulent Cape fruits, freshly squeezed orange juice, etc.

Breakfasts start with cut fruit, cereals and dried fruits, fruit juice and yoghurt's, and are followed by a full "English" breakfast of bacon and eggs and sausage.

Complimentary tea, filter coffee and the "cake of the day" is served throughout the day at your convenience.

Sunset Lodge in the early afternoon looking over the "charcoal" swimming pool. The dark colour of the pool was designed to attract heat into the water. Rooms are serviced daily and fresh white fluffy towels are replaced as often as required. A laundry service is provided.

Airport pick-ups can be arranged at a nominal fee, and we can also arrange your car rental needs if required. Guided tours around the Peninsula in luxurious air-conditioned micro buses can also be arranged.

We are also happy to advise you on how to plan the rest of your trip, from restaurant reservations to shopping expeditions.

Views:

The house has magnificent views from private balconies of both the ocean and Robben Island. The beaches are a short walk down the hill. The views from Bloubergstrand looking across the Bay towards Table Mountain are quite simply breathtaking!

Property Description:

The Lodge has extremely high quality finishes in every room and offers four en-suite bedrooms and one two-roomed family suite. All rooms have MNet and parking is off-street behind security gates.

Directions to Sunset Lodge
FROM CAPE TOWN CBD / WATERFRONT

Take the N1 leading out of town towards Paarl/Stellenbosch. About 1 km out of town you must take the offramp marked R27 Paarden Eiland. This will take you onto Marine Drive which winds up northwards along the West Coast. Travel ± 10 km along the R27 until you reach Blaauberg Road, which is the M14. Turn left into Blaauberg Road and continue about 2 km all the way down to the beach. At this T-junction, turn right into Marine Drive (still the M14). Travel ± 2 km along Marine Drive (Table Mountain should now be over your left shoulder) until you pass Countdown Restaurant. ± 100 m past Countdown you take the first turning right, up the hill, into Perlemoen Drive. After 50 m you will hit a T-junction where you must turn right. Keep on this road as it winds up the hill. This road becomes Gull Road. Sunset Lodge is at the end of Gull Road (No 41) and is a very large white double storey house.

We enjoyed are stay, it was living in your own home.
John and Sylvia was very accomodating and our view
was awesome. The rooms were spotless and I loved the teddy's
on the beds, we felt so welcome and not to forget about the
lavender on the beds and towels.

We could use their facilities for a braai and had people invited and
it was no problem.

I have referrred Sunset Lodge to my friends without doubt and will do
so in future.
