Establishment Details - Medindi Manor
Built in 1903, this gracious late Victorian Manor House nestles at the foot of Table Mountain’s Devil’s Peak in the quiet surroundings of Cape Town’s leafy inner city suburb of Rosebank. Medindi Manor offers stylish and relaxed accommodation for business and leisure travelers.
The Airport and CBD are within a 10 to 15 minute drive as are most of Cape Town’s tourist hotspots, 5 popular golf courses including The Rondebosch Golf Course and the Mowbray Golf caorse are a walking distance from us.
We are 5 minutes walk from Red Cross Children's Hospital, Newlands Rugby and Cricket Stadium, UCT (University of Cape Town) and Groote Schuur Hospital.

All our rooms offer a blend of traditional and modern luxury. Each room is individually styled and uniquely decorated to complement the character of the historic manor house. Guests may also stay in our delightful African colonial-style garden rooms.

The manor house is ideal for small conferences, private dinners and functions. Soak up the African sun next to our sparkling, salt water pool or unwind in our sun-drenched gardens with a sundowner after a day’s work, touring or playing golf, taking in our magnificent garden views or lying about relaxing on one of our pool loungers enjoying the late afternoon sun.

FROM THE AIRPORT (? 10 minutes)
• Take the N2 to City for approximately 12 km.
• Take the Raapenberg Road exit (Exit 10A) and turn left into Raapenberg Road.
• Drive through underneath the bridge and continue straight until you reach a T-junction
(Chai-Yo Restaurant on left corner)
• Turn left into Klipfontein Road
• Turn immediately right into Campground Road (Victorian Street lamp/fountain)
• Turn immediately left into Thicket Road
• Medindi Manor is the 3rd property on the right (4 Thicket Road)

FROM CAPE TOWN (? 10 minutes)
• Take the M3 out of town towards Muizenberg on either Eastern Boulevard or De Waal Drive
• At Hospital Bend take the N2 towards CT International Airport
• Take the Liesbeek Parkway off-ramp and keep right to the traffic lights under the bridge.
• Turn right and proceed to the next set of traffic lights.
• Turn left into Durban Road and continue up to the next set of traffic lights (Chai-Yo Restaurant on opposite left corner.
• Cross these traffic lights and then turn immediately right into Campground Road (Victorian Street lamp/fountain)
• Turn immediately left into Thicket Road
• Medindi Manor is the 3rd property on the right (4 Thicket Road)

FROM JOHANNESBURG ON THE N1
• Take the M5 South off-ramp to Muizenberg
• Take the M18 Klipfontein west off-ramp
• Turn right at the traffic lights into Klipfontein Road (Table Mountain in front of you and the Rondebosch Common on your left)
• Four streets to your left is Campground Road. (Victorian Street lamp/fountain)
• Turn left into Campground Road
• Turn immediately left into Thicket Road

FROM RONDEBOSCH (? 5 minutes)
• From Main Road (M4) turn right into Belmont Road.
• At the first set of traffic lights turn left into Liesbeek Parkway.
• Continue through a small set of traffic lights to the next large set of traffic lights
• Turn left into Durban Road and continue up to the next set of traffic lights (Chai-Yo Restaurant on opposite left corner)
• Cross these traffic lights and then turn immediately right into Campground Road (Victorian street lamp/fountain)

Overview Our 2 luxury rooms are both upstairs in the manor house and are by far our most spacious, superbly appointed, and most sort-after rooms. They both have super-kingsize beds and balcony access. All the luxury rooms and superior rooms in the manor house are tastefully decorated with period pieces.

Overview All the standard rooms are equipped with DSTV, mini bar fridges, tea/coffee station, twin single beds or queen extra length beds and they are all ensuite with either a bath or showe. The standard rooms are smaller and have double or twin beds. Please note that there is a very substantial difference in space and quality and amenities between the small standard rooms and the much larger superior and luxury rooms. We recommend the standard rooms to travellers on a very tight budget

Overview All Superior rooms in the manor house are tastefully decorated with period pieces. The superior rooms have either super-kingsize or extra-length queensize beds. Apart from the 7 rooms in the manor house, we also have a number of superior rooms outside in the gardens, which open out to our lovely garden with salt water pool. A short walk along the garden path from these rooms brings you to the manor house where breakfast is served. Some of our superior rooms can be converted to twin beds, if required. All rooms are en-suite with DSTV - prepaid wireless internet connection is available in all rooms.

It was a home from home. Loved the room, gardens, and most importantly
the staff. After a long day at a seminar, they cared enough to ask how I am,
do I want a drink to chill etc.
Would recommend, and I certainly will use them again.
