Lidiko Lodge is situated in the village of St Lucia, Zululand, KwaZulu Natal, South Africa, in the heart of the Greater St Lucia Wetland Park, an UNESCO World Heritage Site.The charming thatched roof colonial building, which today houses the reception area, guest lounge and art gallery, was one of the first residences to be built in St Lucia in the “County of Zululand” in the late 1930’s. It remained a private residence until 2004 when it was converted into a lodge.

At Lidiko guests are accommodated in style and comfort.
Theme:
The charming thatched roof colonial building, which today houses the reception area, guest lounge and art gallery, was one of the first residences to be built in St Lucia in the “County of Zululand” in the late 1930’s. It remained a private residence until 2004 when it was converted into a lodge.
Fourteen custom-built luxury en-suite garden lodges were added. In keeping with the African Colonial atmosphere of the original building, the lodge has been decorated in a unique contemporary Afro- Colonial style.

Property Description:
All the lodges are en-suite, fully air conditioned and spacious. The lodges are fitted with either single or King size base set beds. Each lodge has a colour television, easy chairs and a tea & coffee making facility. Crisp white linen, luxurious towels and toiletries add to a feeling of luxury and pampering.

Directions
From Gauteng
St Lucia is 620 km from Pretoria. Take the N4 highway to Maputo and just past Middelburg turn off to Hendrina and from there proceed to Ermelo, Piet Retief, Pongola and pass Mkuze and Hluhluwe on the N2 till you get to the Mtubtuba and St Lucia turn off to the left, onto the R618. After approximately 3 km you will reach a T-junction where you turn left, still on the R618, and proceed to St Lucia.
From Durban
St Lucia is 250 km from Durban. Follow the N2 north and turn of at Mtubathuba onto the R618. Follow the road signs to St Lucia.
From Kruger Park via Swaziland
Enter Swaziland ate the nearest border and exit at the Golela border gate.Follow the N2, pass Mkuze, Hluhluwe and turn of at Mtubatuba onto the R618. Follow the road signs to St Lucia.
On entering the village
Cross the bridge into St Lucia, turn right into McKenzie Street and carry on for 800m to where you will find us on the left.

These spacious rooms, decorated in a contemporary Afro-Colonial style, all have a private entrance and private patio that leads onto the pool area. The spacious bathrooms are en-suite, have a separate shower and bath, a big vanity area and are fitted with fluffy white towels and toiletries. The rooms have either two twin beds or a king size bed, two easy chairs; a remote controlled color TV; a hairdryer; personal safe; crisp white linen as well as a tea & coffee making facility with a packet of traditionally home baked rusks. |

| The family lodge consists of two rooms and two bathrooms with an inter-leading door between the two rooms.
It has a private patio and own entrance and is also decorated in a contemporary Afro-Colonial style.
The bathrooms each have a shower, vanity and toilet and are fitted with fluffy white towels and toiletries.
The one room has a double bed and the adjoining room has two single beds, all made up with crisp white linen. Both rooms have a remote controlled color TV; a hairdryer; personal safe as well as a tea & coffee-making facility with a packet of traditionally home baked rusks.

Overview
| This spacious lodge is situated slightly seperately to the central courtyard of lodges, giving total privacy. It is perfect for parties of three.
Being a wing of the original colonial building, it has a thatched roof and is decorated in Persians and antiques. This room is fit for a king and has in fact housed His Majesty King Zwelitini, the King of the Zulus during his stay at Lidiko Lodge.
This lodge also has a private entrance and a patio with two rocking chairs overlooking the gardens towards the Great St Lucia Lake.
The en-suite bathroom has a double shower and a bath as well as fluffy white towels and toiletries.
The spacious room has a queen sized bed and a single bed made up with crisp white linen, two easy chairs, a remote controlled colour television, hairdryer; tea and coffee making facility with a packet of traditionally home baked rusks. |
