Establishment Details - Liberty Lodge Guest House
Over the years, this classic Cape Town bed & breakfast has earned an enviable reputation for relaxed and genuine hospitality. Originally a Victorian gentleman's house, Liberty Lodge became a fabric emporium and even a bordello in the 1940's! Today, it combines a skilful mix of Victorian, Art Deco and contemporary décor, with some stunning feature pieces.

Situated in Tamboerskloof, a safe, up-market residential area within the Cape Town CBD, Liberty Lodge is perfectly located to make the most of your Cape Town holiday or business trip.

The historic city centre and the major tourist sights including the Company Gardens, Green Market Square, Long Street and the Castle are all only a 20 minute walk away. The V&A Waterfront, the CTICC and the beaches of Camps Bay and Clifton can be reached in under 10 minutes by car and Table Mountain is only 2km from the Lodge. You can walk to trendy Kloof Street, just around the corner, with its wide variety of restaurants, cafes, bars and shops.

Both the Winelands of Stellenbosch and Franschhoek and the Cape of Good Hope are within easy driving distance

This homely, yet stylish Tamboerskloof Bed and Breakfast provides your respite from a busy day and is run by owner, Ruth Parsons, who extends a warm, personal welcome. Liberty Lodge appeals to young and old, singles and couples, on holiday or working, all of whom know that convivial surroundings and a comfortable bed awaits.

Kipling,  1 bedroom, sleeps 2
Overview In this ground floor room we reflect the discerning period in the early 1900s, when Rudyard Kipling wintered in Cape Town. It incorporates elegant shades of Africa, from beige and black to dusty reds and ochre, and dramatic oryx horns and wall-mounted zebra skin. This room has an extended queen-size bed and en-suite bathroom with shower over bath. The communal upstairs terrace is available to guests of this room.

Rhodes,  1 bedroom, sleeps 2
Overview Our largest room on the first floor - favoured by honeymoon couples - reflects the turn of the 20th century colonial era; crisp white linen against dark wood, old hatboxes and black and white African images.
