Anthony and Brenda will go out of their way to make your stay at the Knysna guest house as comfortable as possible. Nothing is too big or small for them. Anthony’s vast knowledge of the area is a topic of great conversation amongst the guests.
For a nominal fee, a shuttle service is available from George airport, and we are also available to show you the amazing sights of Knysna and the picturesque Garden Route.
Knysna lies in the heart of the Garden Route, home to the Famous Knysna Lagoon and Knysna Heads and of course OYSTERS.
For the thrill seeker, the World’s highest Bungee jump is situated in the Tsitsikamma Forests. Experience every emotion whilst plunging 219m off the Bloukrans Bridge. For the adventurer that is not prepared to jump, why not try gliding 30 metres above the forest on a Canopy Tour.
The Garden Route is ideal for Mountain Biking fanatics, with organised Forest Tours.
Knysna and the Garden Route is a paradise for Golfers with Knysna being home to the Jack Nicklaus Simola Golf Estate, Pezula Golf Estate and Knysna Golf Club. Further afield you will find the Ernie Else designed Oubaai, Course, Pinnacle Point, Goose Valley and of course Fancourt.
A relaxing boat ride across the Knysna Lagoon is a great way to watch the sunset, or you can go on a tour to the Famous Featherbed Estate. For water sports fanatics, why not try skiing or kite surfing.
Although Knysna does not have any swimming beaches, but they are only a 10 minutes car ride away.
We have a braai area for the exclusive use of our guests. Braai packs and salads can be ordered by prior arrangement.
Ask either Brenda or Anthony, and they will advise you regarding the best restaurants in town. Brenda and Anthony will do go out of their way to ensure your needs are met.
Theme:
As one can see, the Victorian Charm starts when you set your eyes on this magnificent guesthouse. This grand home was built in 1900 and was the original home of the Mayor of Knysna. Throughout the past century it has changed hands many times and at one stage was an orphanage. In 1983 this delightful home was extensively refitted and ongoing alterations have made it into the impressive guesthouse it is today.
Views:
Gaze over the tranquillity of Knysna Lagoon on a lazy morning whilst having a five star breakfast on the deck of our guesthouse or watch Knysna come alive as the night-lights of Knysna gradually appear as the South African sun slowly slips behind the Knysna Lagoon.
