Reasonably priced, fully equipped 2-bedroom cottage holiday accommodation: an authentic, Garden Route, self-catering vacation haven for nature-loving families, stressed-out city-dwellers, adventurers & honeymooners.

Our 5 cottages each offers a main bedroom with double bed, second bedroom with 2 single beds and a 5th mattress and bedding on request. A cot can also be provided if required. After an emerald day on Forest walks, picnics or mountainbiking trail adventures, the beach or town (20min away), rejuvenate in a romantic olde-worlde bath or outdoor shower. Mellow to birdwatching on the chalet veranda or laze in your secluded hammock. Light a braai under the stars; or cuddle up to the fireplace. Flitting fireflies and evocative nightjars add to the enchantment.

Directions to Forest Edge Nature Lovers Retreat
From the N2 (16km from Sedgefield and 1.5km from Knysna lagoo bridge), turn north onto the Rheenendal Road.
(SMS us at this point to ensure we stand ready at Reception for a speedy check-in).
After 11.5km, just past the Rheenendal Petrol Station and Totties Eatery, turn right at the Bibby's Hoek sign.
It becomes a dirt road (quite possible even by small cars) - follow it for 2.2km.
Turn left at the intersection and continue for 1.5km.
Forest Edge is the last property on this road: tranquility at its best!

Fully equipped 2-bedroomed S/C Cottage,  2 bedrooms, sleeps 5
Overview Open-plan lounge with fireplace, small library and tv1/2/3/e & dvd with 20+ movies. Dining area has freestanding table & chairs OR breakfast counter & stools. Main bedroom has double bed, second bedroom has 2 single beds (bunk beds in 2 of the cottages) and a dresser/dressing table; all linen is provided. A 5th thick foam mattress and bedding is provided on request. Indoor olde-worlde romantic cup bath, separate toilet and outdoor shower; bathing towels provided. Very well equipped kitchen with fridge/freezer, gas stove & oven, microwave and all cutlery and crockery. Heaters, extra blankets and fans provided. An alarm system is provided for your peace of mind. Shaded veranda overlooks a private braai (barbeque). By popular demand, we have non-smoking cottages only (smoke on veranda). Park right next to your cottage. Camper cot can be provided by prior arrangement. Hammock at each cottage. Info board with bird/mammal chart. Communal log seat bonfire area - ideal for large groups. Cottages are serviced daily (except Sun/Public Holidays). Limited Internet at reception at a charge. Jungle Gym. Picnic benches. ONE of our cottages is Pet friendly - by prior arrangement only.
