Eikendal Lodge gives you the rare opportunity of staying amongst the luscious vineyards of Eikendal, one of the Cape’s leading wine farms, nestled on the slopes of the picturesque Helderberg Mountain.
Tranquillity is the keynote at Eikendal Lodge, although the wine centres of Stellenbosch and Somerset West are conveniently close, and Cape Town International Airport is a mere 25 minutes away.
Accommodation:
A charming conversion from a cluster of old farm buildings, Eikendal Lodge offers luxurious accommodation for the discerning traveller. At Eikendal Lodge, guests will find themselves surrounded by "royalty", with all the Noble cultivars at their doorstep. In spite of the rural setting, guests have all the modern conveniences required to ensure a memorable stay. The Lodge is a home away from home, in a haven of tranquility, where relaxation is high on the agenda.
The Guesthouse offers nine spacious en-suite bedrooms, with terraces opening directly onto the vineyards. Each room is individually decorated and appointed with satellite television, direct telephone, safe, fridge, and tea/coffee-making facilities. Hearty breakfasts are served in the elegant breakfast room or weather permitting on the patio leading to the sparkling pool.
Dining:
Stroll down to our Eikendal Vineyards, A-la Carte restaurant, for a light lunch. Picnic baskets are provided for the more energetic guests who want to explore the beauty of the Cape Wine lands or spend the day on one of the nearby beaches, lapping up the African sun. You may also wish to spend the evening out on your terrace under the stars, whilst enjoying one of our delicious dinner platters accompanied by our award winning wines.
Golf & Activities:
The area is perfect for the Golf enthusiast who would like to experience some of South Africa's most prestigious courses. Other activities available include hiking in the vineyards and mountains, whale watching (seasonal), shopping at the famous Waterfront in Cape Town and much more.
Winery & Cellar Tours:
Eikendal's modernised tasting facility and friendly team, provide you with the ideal opportunity to sample the range of award winning wines, seven days per week. Visit our barrel-vaulted cellar building for an informative wine tasting and tour (by prior arrangement).
A unique bonus for guests at harvest-time is a chance to participate in the grape-picking and thereafter to see at close quarters "your" grapes beginning their journey towards our award-winning wines in the pressing cellar, under the guidance of our wine makers. The excellent quality of wines and the spectacular landscape make Eikendal a worthwhile point of call whilst visiting the Cape Winelands.

Directions to Eikendal Lodge
Travel on the N2, direction Somerset-West.
Turn left onto Exit 43, (Broadway Exit).
Turn left onto R44, direction Stellenbosch.
Travel for approximately 11 km and turn right onto a small gravel road, Eikendal Road.
Follow this road for approximately 400m and turn left at the Eikendal Lodge signboard.
Follow this road all the way to reception.
