Views:
The view, tranquillity and bird life easily lull visitors into forgetting they're in South Africa's busiest city. Yet the attractions of the Melville boutiques, bookshops, coffee bars and nightclubs are just a stone's throw away. We are approximately 3 kilometres from Johannesburg University, and 7 kilometres from Wits.

Property Description:
Die Agterplaas offers 10 en suite rooms which can be configured as singles, doubles or twins (two beds). There is also a very spacious cottage with self-catering facilities that would normally be allocated to guests who are staying for longer periods of time. The cottage and two other units are across the street from the main building on Jannie's premises (proprietor of Die Agterplaas), and the cottage has a delightful private garden. All units have fans, heaters, TV, a bar fridge, ADSL connection and coffee/tea facilities with complimentary juices and cold drinks. Lock-up garages are available at no extra cost.

Directions
From Johannesburg International Airport:

1. Out of the Airport take the JOHANNESBURG (R24) route
2. Continue past BARBARA ROAD and EDENVALE ROAD
3. About 9.5 kms from the airport there is a split in the road - take the left turn which is JOHANNESBURG/DURBAN/KIMBERLEY
4. About 6 km further (after passing VAN BUUREN STREET) there is another split
5. Take the left turn to GERMISTON/JOHANNESBURG
6. Immediately go right towards JOHANNESBURG
7. About 10km further after passing CLEVELAND - DENVER - RUVEN RD / BENROSE MARITZBURG RD / KASERNE - HARROW ROAD RISSIK STREET - SELBY you will reach another split
8. Take the left turn to SANDTON/PRETORIA
9. After passing CARR AND SMIT STREETS, take the left turn into EMPIRE ROAD
10. Immediately left again into EMPIRE - direction AUCKLAND PARK
11. Keep going in EMPIRE ROAD as it swerves left at the Holiday Inn, cross two robots (traffic lights) and then runs onto a T-junction
12. At the T-junction (Steers and Engen on the left) turn right into KINGSWAY
13. At the first corner where one can, turn RIGHT into LOTHBURY AVE(NB. ...which is COOKHAM to the left)
14. Drive through Melville Village - LOTHBURY changes to 7TH STREET
15. When you get to another T-junction turn RIGHT into 5TH AVENUE
16. Turn first LEFT into 8TH STREET and immediately LEFT again into 6TH AVENUE
17. About 200 metres further number 66 is on your left. 4 identical green and white garages identify DIE AGTERPLAAS B+B
18. Please push "Reception" or "Staff" button for service.

Overview This is our prize cottage with a quaint secluded garden, situated on the proprietors residential premises across the street from the main B&B. Spacious and stylish, this cottage is often utilised for longer and more private stays. It has full DSTV access plus private parking in a secure lock-up garage.
