It’s a place where hawks and eagles fly, and the trout bite. It is “the place of eternal mist”. Dullstroom has become the first resort in South Africa for fly-fishing. And close to its heart the discerning visitor will find the Connemara Close luxury development, with its promise of exclusive, leisure accommodation in individual cottages.

Our own dams and numerous, nearby rivers and streams are famous for their fishing. Both Rainbow Trout and Brown Trout lure city–dwellers to these parts. Dullstroom’s specialist tackle shop serves both the novice and the accomplished fly–fisherman. The angler in training will find tuition by experts readily available.
Those caught up in the romance and sport of fly – fishing might not notice, but the region has numerous additional attractions. Some come to hike the trails and observe the bird life. For those don’t wish to leave sightings to change, the Bird of Pray Centre on the outskirts of town provides an opportunity to see hawks, eagles, owls and falcons.
Dullstroom and its environs also offer opportunity for horse – riding, trap shooting and paint ball warfare. Some come to simply enjoy the peerless beauty of the area or to soak up the atmosphere.

Annexed thereto is the spacious music/reading room. In line with the rest of the accommodation the second bedroom also boasts its own fireplace and en-suite bathroom, while the third bedroom offers twin beds and a separate shower and guest toilet.
