This premier 4-star lodge is situated on a 400 hectare game farm, in the malaria-free Thabazimbi district, a mere 170 km from Pretoria. Nestled snugly against the Boshoffberg, which forms part of the scenic Waterberg mountain range, this exclusive lodge offers an intimate experience of the African Bushveld.

Calali offers six private, exquisitely decorated rooms, all boasting superior finishes and handpicked adornments, from the custom designed, African inspired solid wood furniture to the crisp linen and goose down duvets: you will feel truly pampered. Each uniquely designed room offers complete privacy for the more romantically inclined, but we also cater for families as some of our rooms include equally luxurious single beds or bunks. You will feel completely at one with nature, as the rooms are literally built into the koppie, making for the most magnificent setting. You may also enjoy an invigorating outdoor shower, or simply lounge lazily on your private stoep.
All rooms are serviced daily and laundry facilities are available.
Cuisine
The team behind the kitchen doors creates a unique combination of classic and trendy meals. Both Belvis Chaima and Karien Pretorius are professional chefs who have worked from Malawi to Cape Town in a variety of 5-star lodges. Fabulous food is synonymous with Calali, with the freshest ingredients and seasonal changes to the menu. Whether it is a breakfast on the deck, candle-lit dinner in the dining room or a traditional meal cooked on the fire at the boma, the words sumptuous, inspired, well-presented and memorable, spring to mind. We can cater for up to 50 guests, and our service offering is thus ideal for small weddings, business functions and family celebrations.
The wine list reflects some of the best South Africa has to offer and is undoubtedly of international standard.
Your rate includes a full breakfast, dinner, high tea, bar snacks and freshly brewed coffee all day round, but excludes drinks from the bar.
Conferences
The privacy and proximity of the lodge makes it ideal for small executive breakaways or incentive groups. We can adjust our facilities and customise our venue to suit your individual needs. Business and pleasure can be combined as there are two golf courses within easy reach, and other teambuilding activities may be arranged at the lodge. Basic business services such as wireless internet access, cellphone reception, facsimile, e-mail and printing are available at the on-site office.

Directions to Calali Bush Lodge
From Johannesburg take the N1 past Pretoria for 100 km to Warmbaths (Bela-Bela). In Warmbaths take the R516 to Thabazimbi for 75 km towards Koedoeskop. 3 km Past the Koedoeskop 10 km road sign turn left onto the gravel road marked Calali Lodge & BJF Ranch. Follow this road for 600m & just before the big gate closing off the road, turn left again into Calali Lodge. Please access by sliding open the gate
