To welcome you are your hosts, John and Lynne, who offer warm hospitality and personal service to ensure that your stay at Brookdale Cottages will be happy and relaxed.Summertime in Hilton is pleasant with the occasional summer thunderstorm and our winters, though cold at night, are warm and dry. The spring rains start in late September bringing out the luscious vegetation of the area and this is the time when some of our beautiful gardens are open to the public. Hilton has two small shopping centres and various restaurants nearby where you can wine and dine. You will also find a railway museum and vintage steam trains at the historic Hilton Station.

Brookdale Cottages are within easy walking distance of two wetland areas which abound with bird life and you may even see the grey duiker. Hilton College, St Anne's College and Cedara Agricultural College are only 5 to 8 kilometres from Brookdale Cottage.

From Hilton you can plan a circular trip to explore this fascinating area including the arts and crafts of the Midlands Meander. The majestic Drakensberg Mountains can be seen from Hilton and are especially beautiful when covered in snow. Historic Pietermaritzburg and Howick are only a 15 minute drive away and the coastal city of Durban a one hour journey. Midmar Dam is also nearby and offers yachting, fishing and bird watching.

Set around the swimming pool in an attractive tranquil garden are our three coy and comfortable cottages: Rose, Bramble and Briar.
Situated in an attractive, tranquil setting we offer comfortable thatched en-suite accommodation in Rose, Bramble and Briar Cottages. Snuggle into comfortable beds warmed with electric blankets for those cold winter nights. All the cottages are fully equipped with linen, towels, television with M-Net, fans & heaters. Rose & Bramble Cottages have self-catering facilities if preferred but we also serve generous full English or Continental breakfasts in the sunny dining area or next to the swimming pool.
