Our hotel offers a choice of stylish garden facing hotel rooms or magnificent two bedroom lagoon facing suites (self catering available), with easy access to the river and beaches. Self catering suites are also available. The Blue Lagoon offers two restaurant’s, the Sunset Restaurant is renowned for its excellent cuisine. This is a popular venue for weddings, cocktails parties and corporate functions. The Highlander Pub and Grill is a more informal restaurant with a lively pub and deck overlooking the river, making it ideal for sundowners and cocktail while watching a spectacular sunset. A new addition to our hotel is an upmarket cocktail lounge, “Upstairs On Blue” which is open to patrons of 25 years and older. This venue is also available for private functions.

The hotel offers four well equipped conference venues which are ideal for seminars, training programmes and executive meetings.

Leisure facilities include a sparkling pool (separate kiddies pool), braai area. Squash and tennis courts are available at the nearby country club. The popular East London Golf Course, which is rated one of the top ten courses in South Africa, is located nearby.

East London is proud of it's unspoilt coastline and Blue Lagoon is situated on the Nahoon Mouth facing the famous Nahoon Reef - a "surfers Paradise". The Hotel is an easy ten minute drive to the city centre, sporting facilities, historical attractions and, of course, the beautiful beaches. The area is rich in historical history with Xhosa, German and British influence. Visit the museum, famous for it's displays on the coelacanth (the unique living fossil), the Xhosa exhibit and the large natural history section. Visit the Biko memorial. Game reserves proudly boasting the "Big 5" are within a 2 hours drive. Stunning beach hikes, horse trails and forest walks are all within an hours drive of Blue Lagoon. East London has something for everyone.

Directions DIRECTIONS FROM EAST LONDON AIRPORT TO BLUE LAGOON HOTEL 1. After the Airport – carry on along Settlers Way crossing the Steve Biko Bridge. 2. Crossing two sets of traffic lights into town (Fleet Street) and carry on straight after the traffic circle. 3. Carry on along Fleet Street until the stop street at the intersection of Fleet and Fitzpatrick Road. 4. Turn left. 5. Carry on along Fitzpatrick Road; this will become Valley Road and then the Highway 6. Once on the Highway you will take the Beacon Bay off ramp on your left. 7. Go over a Bridge and take your first turn right. 8. Carry on along Beaconhurst Drive until the Engen Garage. 9. Turn right into Hillcrest Drive. 10. Carry on for approx. 1 km until Blue Bend Place. 11. Blue Lagoon Hotel is at the bottom of the speed bumps on the right hand side.
