The Blue Crane Guest House is an owner-managed, six bedroom B&B and self catering accommodation provider. The newly completed rooms were custom build with elegant finishes, comfort, individuality and privacy in mind. The Blue Crane Guest House was awarded a 4 star grading by the Tourism Grading Council of South Africa.
All Guest rooms are non-smoking, have air condition, satellite TV, a private bathroom and separate entrances. A kitchenette is standard in all rooms, making the Blue Crane Guest House suitable for B&B or self-catering accommodation.
Together with a scrumptious Continental breakfast buffet, B&B guests are served a full English-style breakfast between 07:30 and 09:30 (earlier breakfast by arrangement). Selfcatering guests can start their day with breakfast on their private garden terrace, as all guest rooms are fully equipped for their self-catering needs.
At the Blue Crane Guest House we offer our guests a stylishly decorated lounge with a well stocked modern bar including a state of the art coffee machine.
Off street parking is provided and a separate entrance to each guest room ensures that guests can come and go as they please. Situated in the safe and secure Parel Vallei residential area, guests can relax in unsurpassed privacy. With the historic blue-gum trees towering throughout, the 2100m² property is blessed with added protection and shelter against the prevailing summer winds.
The very private and lush garden with sparkling main pool, 8-seater heated cocktail pool and covered pool patio with BBQ facilities are exclusively for the guest’s use. The Helderberg Mountain in the background completes the picture and creates a calm and relaxed atmosphere, epitomizing extreme tranquility.
A free Wireless Hotspot for Internet connectivity is available in all rooms, the guest lounge as well as under the pool gazebo. Fax, e-mail and broadband Internet facilities are available in the reception area during the day.

Directions

From Cape Town International, follow the N2 due East to Somerset West. Exit the N2 onto the R44 towards Stellenbosch. At the first major intersection (Lord Charles Hotel), turn right onto SOMERSET MAIN ROAD. Follow the Main Road and at the 4th traffic light turn due East into the well-marked LOURENFORD STREET (the same road that will take you to the historic Vergelegen Winery, Helderberg Nature Reserve as well as Erinvale Golf Estate). About 400m into Lourensford Road you will reach a traffic circle, where you turn left into Parel Vallei Road. Follow “Parel Vallei” for a short while and then proceed through the eucalyptus avenue for another 800m, the Blue Crane Guest House is at number 81 on your left.

The tastefully decorated rooms all have a TV including satellite channels and are furnished with extra-length king-sized beds (twin mattresses), offering superior accommodation. Twin beds are available on request.
The kitchenette, fully equipped for light self-catering needs, includes a dining nook/table, microwave, Mini Bar, Toaster as well as Tea and Coffee-making facilities, thus making the Blue Crane Guest House suitable for self-catering as well as B&B accommodation.
Hair Dryers, a small Safe and Air Conditioning units for heating and cooling are standard in all rooms and the entrance to the individual guest rooms is from a private and separately furnished garden patio, enabling guests to come and go as they please, without disturbing fellow guests. |
