Summary:
This fantastic guest house is your own sheltered private hide away, surrounded by indigenous forests on the banks of the Goukamma River whose mysterious black waters meander along the edge of the estate. The ideal base from which to explore the Garden Route, located in the Goukamma Valley only 10 minutes outside of Knysna and 5 minutes from one of the coasts best bathing areas, Buffalo Bay beach.
Theme:
The luxury accommodation is peaceful and relaxing yet adventurous; canoe down the gently flowing river, all the way to the beach if you have the time, or relax around the swimming pool, for the more energetic there is hiking, biking, gliding, abseiling all within 15km.

Property Description:
This luxury accommodation has 2 Deluxe suites upstairs in the main house both with full bathrooms en-suite, fireplaces and balconies overlooking the river and surrounding forests. 4 Spacious standard rooms in the garden complex, with full bathrooms en-suite and verandahs onto the gardens (two have light self-catering facilities). 2 Family suites in the garden complex, with full bathrooms en-suite and verandahs onto the gardens (one has light self-catering facilities). 2 Small but cosy twin bedded rooms one in the garden and one upstairs in the main house. All our rooms have ceiling fans, TV, coffee and tea making facilities. We offer bed and breakfast as well as self-catering accommodation. Each suite is individually decorated with a touch of Africa. There is a cosy residents lounge with a private pub and log fireplace.
Directions to Blackwaters River Lodge & Guesthouse
Between Knysna and Sedgefield, in the lush green valley. At the Buffalo Bay turnoff the N2, turn inland and there we are. Signs to Blackwaters River Lodge are on the road coming from both directions.
