Establishment Details - Big Creek Guest Lodge
Some 13 kms from Magaliesburg and 300m off the R24 to Rustenburg, situated in a tranquil valley facing the Magaliesburg Mountains (an hour from Johannesburg and Pretoria) is the peaceful and picturesque Big Creek Guest Lodge. Built on a 17-hectare portion of the original Boschfontein farm, which varies from rocky kopies to a quiet stream under weeping willow trees.
The Lodge has a 3 star rating by the Tourism Grading Council of South Africa and accommodates a maximum of 20 guests.

The semi-detached units are beautifully appointed on suite units. The units have fully equipped modern kitchenettes with granite finishes, private verandah’s and braai facilities, over looking manicured lawns and swimming pool area.
These four units lead off a large covered courtyard with a unique fire place which is a convenient get together area if the lodge is booked as a block booking or extended family weekends, birthday parties etc.
The fisherman’s log cabin is a free standing air conditioned two sleeper, with on-suite bathroom, a fully equipped open kitchen over looking a small dam.
A new luxury log cabin (available only from 1st November) is secluded chalet set on the edge of a small indigenous forest. This unit has an on-suite bed room with a King size bed, a spacious air conditioned lounge and a fully equipped kitchenette. A raised wooden deck verandah with a braai facility. The cabin is an ideal honeymoon or romantic break away.
Conferencing, weddings and team building events are most welcome.

FACILITIES & ACTIVITIES:
A rustic furnished lounge with DSTV is available to those that enjoy their news and sport.
The games room with a full size snooker table (residents only). A pool set in a lovely garden with rolling lawns over looking a small dam is the perfect place to unwind.
Conference and functions facility seating 80 guests.
Fishing is on the farm as well as Trout fishing in well-stocked dams within walking distance on a neighboring farm. Excellent horse riding available on equestrian farms close by. A Cyclist’s paradise both on and off road with a spectacular mountain bike route over Breedtsnek Pass.
Walk the 17-hectare property through open grassland on the higher ground, to the forest and wetland area along the river. The farm is also an excellent bird watching venue.
Being in the heart of the Magalies Meander, there are many shopping and adventure activities from which to choose. Game drives with the Big five (Lion fence only 3 kms away). Micro light flights, Gliders, Canopy tours and Hot air ballooning and much more are available for you to explore.
Directions to Big Creek Guest Lodge
Take M47 from Johannesburg proceed through all stop streets to robots at Pinehaven with Sasol Garage on far left. Carry on straight through towards Rustenburg.
Further on you will come to a T-junction at the R563 at Oaktree with a service station on opposite side. Turn right and then split left back on the N14.
Carry on until the 4way stop at Tarlton. Turn right onto the R24. This road will lead to Magaliesburg, out the other side on towards Rustenburg.
Big Creek is approximately 14 km from Magalies as you enter Northwest Province.
Turn right on the Hekpoort Road (the third Hekpoort rRoad) at Maanhaarrand and travel 200 metres and Big Creek is on your Left.
