Beautiful Gordon's Bay is only 50 minutes' drive from Cape Town and on the doorstep of the world-renowned winelands of the Western Cape. We are centrally positioned to enjoy exciting day trips to all of the region's attractions. We will gladly help with information on just about everything you need to know for your holiday in the Cape. We also speak German and French.

Theme:

A holiday at Berg en Zee is all about lazy days at the beach. The surrounding slopes of the Steenbras Mountains provide an idyllic setting for this relaxed Mediterranean-style village. The sea in False Bay is warm and calm - perfect for a swim after one of our long, hot summer days.

Views:

Each room has its own private balcony facing North across False Bay towards Table Mountain. In the evenings you can enjoy some of the most spectacular sunsets over the mountains and you will be lulled into a peaceful sleep by the sound of the waves breaking on the shore.

Property Description:

Berg en Zee has a traditional Cape Dutch atmosphere in both its architecture and furnishing. Each room is individually decorated with antique furniture and original paintings. The building is on two levels with a magnificent staircase sweeping up the central hallway. High ceilings and original wooden floors abound. There are three double rooms and three family rooms, each with its own private balcony and en-suite bathroom.

Directions to Berg en Zee Guesthouse

From the N2 highway, take the Gordon's Bay turn-off (about 35km from the airport and just before Sir Lowry's Pass). Travel 4.5km to a T-junction. Turn left onto Faure Marine Drive (the R44). The first turn to the right is signposted Gordon's Bay. Take this turn and continue downhill towards the seafront. This road becomes Beach Road. Pass the harbour entrance and Naval College on the left-hand side. Approximately 100m thereafter you will see a 3-storey white building on the right. Berg en Zee is at 135 Beach Road on the corner of Hahn Road.

Double Room 2, 1 bedroom, sleeps 2

Overview	A very comfortable double room with private balcony, en-suite bathroom with shower above bath, air-conditioning, TV with satellite channels, white linen and towels, small fridge, tea/coffee tray. There is also a comfortable sitting area from which to enjoy the wonderful view.
Bed configuration	The bed is queen-sized.

Double Room 3, 1 bedroom, sleeps 2

Overview	This lovely corner double room has a private balcony, en-suite bathroom with shower above bath, air-conditioning, TV with satellite channels, white linen and towels, small fridge, tea/coffee tray. Again, a comfortable sitting area from which to enjoy the wonderful view.
Bed configuration	The bed is queen-sized.

Family Room 4, 1 bedroom, sleeps 4

Overview	The largest family room in the guesthouse at around 40 square metres. The room is ideal for a family of four. It has a private balcony, en-suite bathroom with shower above bath, air-conditioning, TV with satellite channels, white linen and towels, small fridge, tea/coffee tray. There is also a sitting area.
Bed configuration	One queen-sized bed and two three-quarter beds. A cot can be provided on request.

Family Room 5, 1 bedroom, sleeps 4

Overview	This room is an extremely comfortable room for a couple or it can accommodate up to four by utilising the double sleeper couch. It has a private balcony, en-suite bathroom with shower above bath, air-conditioning, TV with satellite channels, white linen and towels, small fridge, tea/coffee tray. There is also a comfortable sitting area.
Bed configuration	One queen-sized bed and one double sleeper couch. A cot can be provided on request.
