Located overlooking the lagoon, Arbor Guesthouse is ideally situated in the picturesque seaside village of Wilderness, just a few minutes walking distance from beach and restaurants. The guesthouse offers four rooms with a beautiful view. Spacious, beautifully furnished - double or single beds – ensuite bathrooms, balcony or veranda.
At chilly evenings the cosy lounge with couches and a log fire embraces you. In the morning we are happy to serve your breakfast on the terrace with breathtaking views on lagoon and ocean.
Experience Arbor Guesthouse surrounded by a National Park with a variety of birds, walking trails through the beautiful landscape and canoe facilities.
At the garden route there are a lot of interesting places you can visit. In the meanwhile don't forget you're on holiday... Feel free and relax in one of the deckchairs at our swimming pool. Enjoy the beautiful books and magazines we have about Africa. Let your mind go with the flow. Take a nap. As the South African say: "Geniet 't!"
The Garden Route stretches for 300 km between the Indian Ocean and the Outeniqua and Tsitsikamma mountains. It is a visual feast of lagoons, lakes, ocean, mountains and indigenous forests. The Garden Route offers something for everyone, long white beaches, hiking in the forest, sailing, surfing, canoeing, horse riding, paragliding, mountain biking or bird-watching. Watch the whales and dolphins, they play only a few meters from the beach. Several excellent golf courses are within a short drive from Wilderness. Oudtshoorn in the Little Karoo, with its ostrich farms and Cango Caves, is only one hour driving away.
Directions to Arbor Guesthouse
Take the N2 from Cape Town to Hermanus and Knysna. The village Wilderness is situated between Knysna and George. Half an hour driving from Knysna - 15 minutes from George - take exit: Wilderness. Caltex on your right hand side, follow this road a few hundred meters until you find the Protea Hotel at your left hand side. Turn right, this is the Waterside Road. Arbor Guesthouse is located at number 375, after 200m on your left handside. Please enter the gate and park your car on our private parking place.
