Summary:
Anchor's Rest is situated in the quaint seaside village of Hermanus, 120km from Cape Town. We are 150m from the famous cliff paths boasting the best land based whale watching in the world. Anchor’s Rest is a 1.5km stroll to the village centre. It lies between the historic Old Harbour ( in the village) and the New Harbour with its restaurants within walking distance.

Our accommodation was carefully planned to offer guests either the option of Bed and Breakfast or Self catering or a bit of both! The new additions retain the style of the original property but furnishings are new and “seaside” fresh. All the units are designed so as to offer guests maximum privacy, but we are here if you need us. We want you to enjoy your holiday as you like to – you make the choices.
Accommodation is offered in 4 separate garden suites in beach house style décor.
• Each has own private entrance and patio/garden areas and barbecue.
• Optional Health Breakfast, served on your patio or in your suite.
• An under counter fridge, tea and coffee facilities, overhead fans, microwave, wall heaters, hairdryers, TV and MNet are provided in each unit.

Directions

Approaching Hermanus from Cape Town side, pass the Gateway Centre shopping mall and Total garage on your right. Pass through the traffic lights and then take the 2nd street to the right - De Goede Street (also marked with Private Hospital sign and Harbour sign). Travel down De Goede and at the T Junction turn right into Wesctcliff Road. We are number 90 on the right hand side! OR Approaching from Garden Route side via Standford enter Hermanus village on main Road. Immediately after Main Road takes a sharp bend to the right you will pass the old stone church and the Post Office on your left. at the Shell garage turn left down to the se and at the T junction turn right into Marine Drive which very soon becomes Westcliff Road. We are number 90 on the right hand side!
