Summary:

We have seven double spacious rooms one with a Victorian bath and the balance with showers. They have either King size beds or two single beds.

Theme:

Views:

The gracious old 1930's Durban home is surrounded with indigenous Acacias, and palms, and the totally private guest house garden is packed with lush tropical vegetation, with bird-life in abundance.

Property Description:

The décor of the guest house is "Colonial Safari", with walls of original artworks, shelves filled with books, African collectables, crisp white linens and plush leather furniture.

FROM KING SHAKA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT:
OUTER RING VIA N2
1. Exit airport from parking area, turn left at large intersection
2. Durban N2 South T keep to right, to Toll plaza. Toll fee R4.00
3. From Toll Plaza to Acorn B&B in Durban +/-35km
4. At 190 M27 Verulam/Umdloti go straight on N2 Highway
5. Go straight at 182 M41 Mt Edgecombe
6. Exit onto 165 N3 Johannesburg/Durban, keep left for Durban
7. Exit onto Exit 2 M13 and go under the Tollgate (Arch Bridge), exit left onto off-ramp to Berea Road (King Dinizulu)
8. Continue to Essenwood Road (Steven Dlamini Road) on Berea Road (King Dinizulu North), then turn left at first large intersection into Essenwood Road (Steven Dlamini) – no street name at this point
9. Continue along Essenwood Road, a one way, crossing at first large intersection, Silverton Road and Essenwood Road
10. Musgrave Centre on right hand side go further on, Durban High School DHS on left side, keep right
11. Second large intersection turn right into St. Thomas Road, keep left, first intersection turn left into Musgrave Road
12. Go on to Marriott Road (Gladys Mazibuko Road), at the large intersection turn right into Marriott Road (Gladys Mazibuko Road), down the hill
13. First right is Wolfenden Grove. We're at 3 Wolfenden Grove (Big "Acorn B and B" sign outside) on left hand side

COASTAL ROAD VIA M4
1. Exit airport from parking area, turn left at large intersection
2. Durban N2 South T keep to right, to Toll plaza. Toll fee R4.00
3. From Toll Plaza Durban +/-35km
4. Exit left at Exit190 M27 Verulam/Umdloti
5. Follow signs Durban M4, on the coastal road - the Ruth First Highway
6. Into Durban, you will pass the Moses Mabhida Stadium on the right and the large Sun Coast Casino on the left
7. At the first large intersection Argyle Road (Sandile Thusi Road), turn right
8. Continue to Musgrave Road near the top of the hill
9. Turn left into Musgrave Road, follow to the first large intersection, Marriott Road (Gladys Mazibuko Road)
10. Turn left at Marriott Road (Gladys Mazibuko Road), down the hill
11. First right is Wolfenden Grove. We're at 3 Wolfenden Grove (Big "Acorn B and B" sign outside) on left hand side

From Umhlanga:

* On the Coastal Road, heading South.
* You will pass the large Sun Coast Casino on the Left.
* At the next large intersection Sandile Thusi Road(ARGYLE ROAD), turn RIGHT.
* Continue to Problem Mkhize Road(COWEY ROAD) (6th set of lights).
* Turn LEFT into Cowey.
* At 2nd set of lights Gladys Mazibuko Road (MARRIOTT ROAD) turn RIGHT up steep hill.
* Go OVER CURRIE, and WOLFENDEN is the second little road on the left after Currie.

From City Centre:

* Get onto Stalwart Simelane Street (STANGER STREET) out of the city (heading North).
* Stalwart Simelane Street (Stanger Street is perpendicular to DR PIXLEY KaSEME ST(West) and ANTON LEMBEDE ST(Smith) which run the length of the city center.
* Take the SANDILE THUSI RD (ARGYLE ROAD) off ramp to the left.
* At the top of the bridge, turn LEFT into SANDILE THUSI RD (ARGYLE), and continue as above...

Tip: If you're lost, get to a landmark such as the MUSGRAVE CENTRE, and we're a stone's throw from there.
