Short description:
From the Airport, Take right turn onto N2, follow signs to Cape Town.
Ignore the M3 Muizenburg turnoff, stay on the N2 to Cape Town
Take left turn onto M3, De Waal Drive
Turn left onto M3 Cable Way M62 Camps Bay (it’s the same road)
Go over the little bridge, past the Gardens Shopping Centre and just after the first traffic light stay in the left fork.
At the stop street turn left into Upper Orange Street.
5th street to the right is Montrose Avenue
Third house on the left is Abbey Manor.
Long Description:
Leaving the Airport follow the signs to Cape Town (drive toward the enormous Mountain), you will be on a highway called the N2.
On both the left and right you will find a very poor area of Cape Town, don't be too shocked, the rest of Cape Town does not look like this!
Once you are closer to the Mountain, in-fact it will be right in-front of you, the road will fork and you will see signs to M3 Muizenberg on the left turn, ignore the left turnoff and stay turning right. The mountain will then be on your left hand side. The highway will then again branch with the left branch saying 'De Waal Drive', take the left branch and keep driving, you will feel like you are right up against the mountain. You will then reach a residential area (slow down here to 60km as there is a speeding camera), as soon as you go under a residential bridge walkway over the road, there will be a sharp turn to the left, the road sign saying M62 Camps Bay, as well as M3 Cable Way, (you will be joining another small highway) take that left turn. If you go under the highway bridge, you have gone to far!
You will go over a little bridge with a shopping centre on the left of you. At the first traffic light stay in the left hand lane as the road again forks and you want the left fork.
At the stop street you have to turn as you cant go straight, turn to your left (you heading back to the mountain)
The 5th street on the right is Montrose Avenue, there is a Carlucci coffee shop on the corner. Turn into Montrose Avenue and the third house on the left is Abbey Manor.
Always remember there is a huge landmark you must head toward and that is Table Mountain, if the mountain is in-front or to the left of you, you doing well!!
