Five bedroom suites are situated on the first floor where sweeping vistas over Durban can be experienced.
Full wireless internet access available.Outdoor under cover, includes a breakfast/dining area where meals are served on most occasions overlooking the sights and sounds of nature (and the beautiful night lights of Durban); informal lounge with views over the Umgeni River mouth and the warm Indian Ocean, BBQ (braai) area and ablutions.
The area is suitable for functions, receptions and product launches. Ample secure parking is provided.
Three secluded garden areas round off your experience where complimentary English cream teas are served daily at around 16h00 with our famous scones, cream and local strawberry jams. As an alternative “High Tea” can be arranged for a nominal cost.
The Bergtheil Self catering Cottage and 2 lovely Annex rooms (Wheelchair friendly) overlook the gorgeous rock pool and rounds off the accommodation at 29 on St James. All pathways and facilities are fully accessible on ground level.
In walking distance from the Lodge along safe routes are the Westville Country Club with all its sport/club facilities, the Westville Metro Swimming pool (Olympic size), Westville Shopping Centers housing restaurants, supermarkets, clothing stores, local pubs/bars and foreign exchange banks. The lodge borders onto the Nature Trail and the Open sports fields of the Westville Old Boys Association .The Palmiet and Roosfontein Nature Reserves are a short 5 minutes drive away where regular informal / formal walks can be arranged.

Take the N2 North Coast/Stanger (N3 Pietermaritzburg)
Take the N3 to Pietermaritzburg and take the first off-ramp – Exit 13

Take Exit 13: Spine Road off-ramp at the Pavilion Shopping Centre
If coming from Durban/North & South Coast/Airport, turn right into St James Avenue(M32) at Traffic light (Head away from the Pavilion)
If coming from Johannesburg side, turn left at traffic light into St James Avenue(M32). (Head away from the Pavilion)
Head towards Westville CBD, stay in the right-hand lane, we are 900m from the traffic light, on your right-hand side (keep an eye out for the baobab tree)
